Elijah Jordan Wood
Continuing my LOTR Bio’s for the upcoming Movie – The Hobbit here is one of the main characters from LOTR the one and only Elijah Wood who as we all should know played Mr Frodo Baggins. Elijah Jordan Wood born on the 28th January 1981. Elijah was a huge child star and I think people would be shocked to some of the Films he has actually been in, it is quite a list! Back to the Future 2 being one of them and also a part in Mel Gibsons Forever Young I’m sure there are other parts he would like to forget including a role in Flipper and the poor Film that is Deep Impact.
As I said before Elijah started acting from a young age his first role being in the afore mentioned Back to the Future 2 where he had a small part as a kid playing Video Games. He went on to win the Young Star Award 2 times from a possible 4 nominations, this spring boarded Wood into the spot light as the young actor to have on board. Moving on in his career he had larger and larger roles which led to our favourite Movies The Lord Of The Rings, this cemented Wood as one of the biggest actors around gaining top billing ahead of Movie heavy weights such as Ian Mckellen, Cate Blanchett and Sean Bean.
Elijah was given props from the Films by Peter Jackson including Sting (Frodo’s Sword) one of the prop Rings and a set of Hobbit Feet. I loved Elijah as Frodo, he gave the character real meaning a with a sense of strength and weakness all at the same time, hard to pull off I am sure. Moving on from LOTR he took a succession of varied parts to avoid being type cast including a cannibal hitman in Sin City (Top Film) and a football hooligan in Green Street. He has done many behind the screen acting aswell with 9 and Happy Feet 1 & 2 also some computer games including God of War and voicing the role of Spyro he has also voiced Baggins in some LOTR games and will be voicing Frodo again in the 2012 release of Lego LOTR. Wood has also appeared in Music Videos for Paula Abdul, The Cranberries and The Beastie Boys.
Here are some #FrodoFacts which might surprise – Elijah loves Music and is interested in becoming a DJ under the name DJ Frodo and he has his own label call Simian Records, he has an actor sister Hannah Wood, he has sung and played instruments on fellow LOTR star Viggo Mortensen’s album Pandemoniumfromamerica, Elijah has a tattoo from LOTR as mentioned in my other Bio’s. He has voice acted on American Dad, Tron and Frazier. Wood has won many awards including MTV Movie Awards and also Nicklelodeon, Wood was ranked #7 in the most likely to give you an autograph list.

Coming to the end of this Bio lets not forget Elijah reprising his role as Frodo Baggins in the upcoming Hobbit Movie released in December this year, I was not surprised to see Elijah recast as Frodo, it gives some fans of the Movies and not the books continuity and will help tie the LOTR and The Hobbit together in visual format, I just hope Jackson doesn’t cut it up too much.
