The Ballad Of Frodo

Posted on

Frodo was a Hobbit he liked to dance and sing and one day Bilbo came to him and left him with a ring!

And the ring he didn’t like it and it gave him quite a fright as Bilbo went off running in to cold darkened night!

And then Frodo met with Gandalf who told him crazy things, he told him about Sauron and the story of the rings!

After all these  tales of battles and such he did tell, so he went somewhere safe to the elves Rivendell.

And many races met with council and talked of the ring, we must take and destroy this tiny golden thing!

So Frodo did offer to take the ring Bilbo had worn then they all drew together, a fellowship born.

So Hobbits, an Elf, a Wizard, two men and a Dwarf set on their journey away to the North.

Away to the North and away to the south, just remember the words from the old Wizards mouth.

DO NOT wear the ring for it turns on you quick, leaving you angry and mad then feeling quite sick!

In the end they all split they had their own quest to do, a fellowship large, now leaving just two.

Frodo and Sam were the only two here, the ring with its power leaving Frodo dry and gasping for beer.

So on they walked getting lost and feeling all solemn, until they bumped in to the old Hobbit Gollum.

Now Gollum was here just for the ring that he stole,  the only thing that would get him out of his dirty old hole.

So Gollum was guide but he wanted them lifeless but still he led them for the ring he considered priceless.

He led them high and low the sneaky insider and betrayed them both to Shelob the Spider!

The Spider would eat them both with teeth and her sting, then Gollum could claim the shiny gold ring.

But in the end Sam and Frodo with light on their side, continued the journey refusing to hide!

They reached the mountain by name of the doom, and in they both entered into fiery rock womb!

So in the ring must go, they dare not linger, but Gollum came back and bit off Frodo’s finger!

But Gollum suffered and quite deserved some felt when he fell in the fire and the ring it did melt.

So the ring it had gone no longer now worn and the Eagles bore Sam and Frodo back home.

Now some of you think this is the end of the story, but  the Hobbits went back to Hobbition and glory.

But the Hobbits were not done yet another battle to fight against Saruman and Wormtongue deep into the night!

Saruman had taken the Hobbits as slaves and wanted to see them all in shallow cold graves!

But no chance of that because the Hobbits had grown, they wouldn’t let Sharky destroy their quaint homes!

So with Wizard destroyed and Wormtongue gone too, they enjoyed a merry pint oh go on then make it two.

After all the dust settled, they had all done their best, and off Frodo sailed out in to the west.

Now it has finished but is this the end? With imagination and stories I doubt it my friend!
